"Antrische Löcher" eerie holes are ancient test tunnels from the time of the copper mine in Prettau/Predoi, which can be found in various places in the Ahrntal valley. In the imagination of many people, there lived the so-called "Antrischen" - small people who dug in the mountains for treasures and precious stones.
Itinerary
Start: Tourist office Luttach/Lutago in direction of Hotel Schwarzenstein. From here, a wide path leads you to "Stockmair Rohr". The path gets steeper and leads in two long loops across the field. A beautiful view over the village of Luttach/Lutago is guaranteed. Afterwards, you will pass a little barn. From there, you follow a narrow forest path on the right and you reach the first antic hole, which, however, only leads a few metres into the mountain. Continue on your hike through the forest and you reach the second, considerably deeper hole. From there, the path gets steeper and leads you to an iron staircase. This staircase leads you to the third and last antic hole, which extends further into the mountain.
