The circular hike starts at the Birkenwald bus stop. Following trail 26, the path leads towards the Partschins Waterfall, accompanied by the sound of rushing water. At the Waterfall restaurant, hikers reach the viewing platform, offering close-up views of this impressive natural spectacle.

The route then continues on the Alpine hiking trail Waterfall, winding through dramatic alpine scenery with turquoise pools, small cascades, striking rock formations and scenic resting places. According to legend, Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary once drank from this spring during a stay in Merano.
