Start at the parking lot in Terenten’s village center and walk about 100 meters northwest to the Ternerbach stream. Here begins the Mills Trail, accompanied by informational panels that share the history of the old mills. Halfway along the path, you’ll reach the fascinating Earth Pyramids– a natural landmark worth stopping for.
Continuing on, you’ll see the five main mills, each with its own traditional charm. After passing the Hansleitner Mill, cross the bridge to the other side of the Ternerbach. The path leads past an old farm and the village ski lift, then back into the village center along a meadow path.
In the ski and holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal you can get an Adventure Book at your accommodation or at the tourist offices. This special booklet features ten selected hikes, each with a stamp station along the way, where you can collect an imprint in your Adventure Book.
With three stamps, you can claim a bronze medal at the tourist offices in Mühlbach, Rodeneck, Terenten, Vals, or Meransen. Six stamps earn you a silver medal, and with all ten, you’ll be awarded the prestigious gold medal!
