From the Head of the Val Casies Valley – St. Magdalena at 1465 m (refreshment stop, paid parking), at the entrance to the Pidig Valley, follow trail No. 49 further into the valley, passing the typical pair farms along the sunny left side. The following ascent is balanced by the stunning natural scenery. At a sharp left turn, the alpine path nearly touches the edge of the stream. From here, the Kradorfer Alm 1704 m is already visible. Refreshment stop.
Recommended:
Hiking boots with good grip, high-quality socks to prevent blisters, weather-appropriate clothing, rain jacket, rain protection, dry T-shirt and sun protection (sunscreen/hat).
Pay attention to stay hydrated on hot days – always carry enough water in your backpack! In higher altitudes, summer storms can quickly become dangerous – check the weather forecast in advance and plan your tour carefully. Also a first aid kit should always be carried!
