As the name suggests, this road offers particularly convenient views of the Gsiesertal Valley. And this is not just from one, but from endless vantage points. Since the “Talblickweg” path is a 35-kilometres long route and overall, a flat hike that is always marked with white dots and carefully equipped with explanatory signs, it is possible to easily walk along the entire Gsiesertal Valley just above the valley floor. Following partly the valley road, partly farm access roads and other paths, from the area of Welsberg-Taisten the trail leads along one side of the Gsiesertal Valley to the end of the valley near St. Magdalena and back out of the valley on the other side. The trail suitable for old and young winds its way through resin-scented forests, flower-filled meadows, past typical farmsteads of the Gsiesertal Valley or through pretty villages and farmhouses. Thus, on this interesting route one can comfortably admire the special features and the beautiful natural and cultural landscape of the Gsiesertal Valley apart from the main road on foot. However, it is recommended, because of the considerable overall distance, to walk only sections that offer various circular routes that can be started or ended at will in Welsberg, Taisten, Pichl, St. Martin, St. Magdalena or at various other points. Round trip by bus possible.
