The route starts at the tourist information office in Monguelfo and passes through the town center until just before the gas station. Cross the bridge over the Pidigbach River and then turn right along the Pidigbach River in the valley, heading east towards the Val Casies. Cross the small wooden bridge at the aqueduct and continue uphill slightly to the Brückenwirt bridge. Cross the bridge and continue to your right along the riverbank until you cross another bridge after the gravel factory, still following the trail on the right. A short stretch of forest path leads back to the cycle path, which you follow to exit the valley and reach Welsberg. The route is partly shaded and partly sunny, making it pleasantly cool, especially in the evening or early morning hours.

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo.
Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo.
