A hike through the Puez-Odle Nature Park, in the heart of the Dolomites.

This exciting hike in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park leads to the recently built Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage -Viewpoint Mastlé-S. Cristina/Val Gardena. The path winds its way below the imposing vertical Fermeda towers, to the Pieralongia and then to the Seceda mountain located at a higher altitude.

Itinerary

The Col Raiser gondola is where it all starts: an exciting hike in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. Leave the mountain station behind you and follow a forest path to the recently built Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Terrace, Mastlé-S. Cristina/Val Gardena. The path winds its way below the imposing vertical Fermeda towers, leading hikers first to the typical Pieralongia mountain pasture and then to the Seceda mountain pasture located at a higher altitude. From here, continue on the Mastlé mountain pasture back to the starting point.

At the beginning of the summer season, some sections may still be snow-covered, depending on weather conditions. Please enquire about conditions before setting off on your hike.

It is best to always have good hiking boots and a windbreaker with you. You should also pack a drink, snack and sun protection in your rucksack.
The Nature Park Puez-Odle was founded in 1978 and covers an area of 10,722 hectares. The nature parks of the Dolomites were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2009.
Here you can discover the various rock types, sedimentary layers and weathering. This is the reason why the Puez-Odle Nature Park is also called the “history book of the earth”.
The valley station of the Col Raiser cable car can be reached by the free shuttle bus (8:30 - 12:00 a.m. / every 15 minutes) from the Dosses Square. The valley station of the Col Raiser cable car is also served by the bus line 358.

Directions
The starting point is the valley station of the cable car Col Raiser, which is located in the municipality of Selva Gardena, but is not far from the centre of S. Cristina. It can be reached by internal shuttle buses or by car (chargeable parking on site).
