The Resciesa offers a scenic hike immersed in nature, with mostly flat trails or gentle inclines. From the very first steps, stunning views of the Dolomites open up. Along the way, you will encounter the charming Holy Cross Chapel, a place of great beauty and tranquility. To reach the summit cross (2,281 m), there is a short uphill section, rewarded with a 360-degree view of the Sciliar, the Sella Group, and the surrounding valleys. The route continues to Brogles, a wide alpine meadow where horses and cows graze in summer, perfect for a little break. The hike combines breathtaking panoramas, easily walkable sections, and authentic alpine atmosphere, making it suitable for both families and hikers seeking relaxation.
Starting from the top station of the Resciesa funicular, follow trail no. 35 on the left, which leads to the Resciesa Hut. From there, continue on to the Holy Cross Chapel. Then follow trail no. 10 until you reach the summit cross, which marks the highest point of the hike at 2,281 meters. The route then continues along trail no. 31 to the Valluzza Pass. Here, a breathtaking panoramic view opens up, stretching from the Val d'Isarco across the Schlern mountain and towards the Sella Pass. The hike continues along trail no. 35, passing the Ega Ciajiarines spring, down to Brogles. The return route follows the Costa dl Cason (trail no. 35) back to the top station of the Resciesa funicular.
