Pustertal Valley Bike Route: Innichen - Bruneck

Kandellen-Frondeigen-Stadlern/Gandelle-Franadega-Fienili, Toblach/Dobbiaco, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
from center

The Puster Valley Cycle Path from Innichen to Bruneck offers an idyllic ride through picturesque landscapes, passing meadows, forests, and lakes. The path runs away from traffic, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature and find moments of tranquility.

Itinerary

Starting from the center of Innichen (train station and East parking lot), the route heads west. Just before the access to the SS49, you switch onto the bike path that continues straight towards Niederdorf (1210m). Here, you cycle through wide meadows and fields towards Niederdorf. Shortly before the campsite, you pass under the main road and the railway line. After Niederdorf (1154m), you cross under the railway line again at the end of the village.

The route then follows partly low-traffic side roads and partly a separate bike path to Welsberg (1087m), continuing towards the Olanger reservoir. Along the railway line and the lake, the path follows a gravel trail through the lakeside forest. Once past the lake, the gravel path merges into a narrow asphalt road leading to Oberolang (1080m). From there, you continue to Mitterolang (1048m) and Niederolang (1024m). The route then takes you to Unterwielenbach and Percha. Far from cars and noise, the bike path winds through dense forests and several tunnels until you reach the city of Bruneck (835m).
