Itinerary
The tour starts at the Signaue valley station. From here, the wide hiking trail no. 13 initially leads through dense forests, later opening up to reveal fantastic views of the Sesto Dolomites and the Carnic Ridge. With these views, you reach Saumahd (1,828 m) – a perfect place for a short break surrounded by beautiful nature. From here, the trail becomes steeper: Trail No. 133 leads up to the Klammbachalm (1,944 m), which invites you to stop for a bite to eat with typical South Tyrolean hut fare. The trail then continues to the Nemesalm (1,877 m) before reaching the Kreuzberg Pass (1,636 m) via Trail No. 131. The return trip to the village of Sexten is easy with the public bus. Tip: If you want to save yourself a few meters of elevation gain, you can take the Drei Zinnen Bahn cable car to Stiergarten (2,092 m) in advance. This shortens the hiking time by about 1.5 hours – ideal for families or leisurely hikers.
Coming from the Pustertal valley, turn into the Sexten valley in Innichen. If arriving from the Kreuzberg pass, follow the main road until you reach Signaue.
