This hike lies under the motto alpine pasture to alpine pasture and hut to hut.Right at the beginning of the tour we ascend to the idyllic Wurzeralm.We continue past the Moschwandalm and the Maiser Alm past the Kreuzjöchl to the Meran hut.Here we can enjoy the wonderful view with a long rest.As far as the eye can see, to the south, east and west we can enjoy the unique mountain landscape of South Tyrol. Meran 2000 is also a popular destination for excursions in summer.It is easy to reach and offers a varied alpine and mountain landscape.
It is a long mountain hike, where good condition is required.
Starting at the Busstop at Avelengo (1293m) you can ascend on path no. 2 the Wurzeralm (1707m). There follows a descent on the ways no. 2A and 1 to the creek Almbach and finally you reach, after ascending again, on path no. 15 the Kreuzjöchl (1981m). By this way you cross as well the Moschwaldalm (1747m) and the Maiser Alm (1791). Now you nearly have reached the highest point of the tour and walk on path no. 4/E5 to the Meraner Hütte (1937m). By the Kirchsteigeralm (1926m) you should turn left, walking on the way no. 14 to Falzeben.

By car from the Brenner Pass, take the A22 motorway to the Bolzano Sud exit, then take the MEBO expressway in the direction of Meran until the Terlan exit. From there, take the mountain road to Mölten. From Mölten take the panoramic road to Hafling.
