From the starting point at Saltnerstein (Gasser Hut), we hike along the Way of the Cross, following marker no. 6, past the Pfroderalm to Totenkirchl. The route then continues on trail no. 16 to Prackfiederer Jöchl and the Stöffl Hut. From there we follow trail no. 15, passing the Marzunerschupfe (about a 5-minute detour from the main route) and the Mair in Plun Hut, returning to the starting point. (In winter, the trail is groomed/packed almost as far as Totenkirchl.)
