Cultural hike Lüsen

This hike shows us the ancient artisan-zone, with mill and saw, who once a time use the water from the Kaserbach for power-unit.
From the center of Lüsen we pass the St. Georg Church, the playground until the pond. Then we go right on the light increase till the Oberburgerhof. Here we take the road down to the Mairhof and cross, after about 100m right down, the Lasankenbach. This is where the nature trail branches off; here, various installations provide information about the local flora and fauna and tell the story of Lüsen. The trail first leads to the Strickermühle mill on the Kaserbach stream, where water power was once harnessed, and on to the former craftsmen’s quarter, which once shaped village life. Our route then takes us past the smithy, the Strickermühle and the old sawmill, along the upper path past the old farmsteads and back into the village.
