Easy hike above Tisens/Tesimo with beautiful viewpoints of the Tisner Mittelgebirge mountain range.
Attention: the path is not cleared in winter and can be icy in places. Always wear good shoes!
Starting from the parish church in Tesimo, head right diagonally across the road to the Raiffeisen bank and past this further up the road (signposted trail no. 4). Pass the Gurtenhof residence, in whose eastern wall, according to historians, remnants of the old house chapel of St. Catherine (mentioned as long ago as 1327) are still in evidence, between the houses and past Tesimo industrial estate to a large wayside cross on the left-hand side of the road. After a few more metres, turn left onto Panoramaweg (trail no. 14). Follow this, past the lower side of a new building, and then in a southerly direction on a fairly flat section along a track that is wide in places along the edge of the forest again. Next walk briefly through the forest and down a few steps to the tarmac road. Here turn left and past a large wooden cross, known as the “Hohes Kreuz” along the main road back into the centre of Tesimo.
