This varied running route in Meransen offers extensive views of the Pustertal and Eisacktal valleys. The moderately difficult route is suitable for runners with a good basic level of fitness who want to combine exercise with nature.
The starting point is the cable car square in Meransen. From there, the route follows the main road downhill to the first hairpin bend. Here, the route turns right and then keeps right again towards the village centre. Once you reach the main road, turn left. About 100 metres above Hotel Des Alpes, turn right onto a track.
After a short ascent, the circular trail is reached, running almost level or gently downhill through open woodland. As soon as the trail leaves the forest, views of the lower Pustertal and Eisacktal valleys open up. Then follow the paved road no. 11 back to the starting point.
The finishing point of the tour is the cable car square in Meransen.
From Mühlbach, follow the SP149 uphill towards Meransen. After around 7 kilometres, you reach the village. Continue to the cable car square at the Mühlbach–Meransen cable car, the starting point of the tour.
