Snowshoe tour: Along the Besinnungsweg (path of reflexation) in the Gsiesertal Valley

From the parish church in St. Magdalena (1465 m) follow the main road downhill to the bridge, where on the left side of the fork you find the first meditation point. Pass the small chapel, then turn left across the bridge over the Gsieserbach stream and, after a short ascent, turn right. From here a farm track leads along the left side of the stream, past several meditation points. Cross the paved road to enter the deciduous forest. Markers with the initials of St. Martin and St. Magdalena on large stone blocks indicate the direction. Along the way you pass old dry-stone walls, traditional wooden fences, a hay-drying rack and several small shrines, finally reaching the hamlet of Schuher. From there turn right down towards the forest edge and at another stone block turn right again to cross a bridge to the hamlet of Kapaiern. Immediately turn left and continue past further stations until you reach St. Martin. From there return by public transport or on foot back to St. Magdalena.
