Truden/Trodena
From Truden i.N. via Kaltwassertal to Passo Cisa and Malghette. Descent to Anterivo and San Lugano, return along the old railway track. Tour no. 7
from center

The classic tour starts in Truden im Naturpark and descends to the old sawmill. Following a forest path through the Kaltwassertal valley, the route climbs to Passo Cisa (1,448 m). Continuing onwards, you reach the Malghette, the highest point of the tour. The route then descends to Anterivo and San Lugano. Following the old railway track, it returns to Kaltenbrunn and back to Truden im Naturpark.

Tip: The tour can also be started from the town hall square in Anterivo.

Refreshment options: Krabes Alm, Hotel Restaurant Schönwies and Hotel Restaurant Trudnerhof in Truden im Naturpark.

Itinerary
The tour starts in the centre of Truden im Naturpark and follows the Sägeweg. Afterwards, the route continues along the Hornweg towards Krabes Alm until reaching San Lugano. Passing Neuradein, the route returns to Truden im Naturpark.

Plan your tour according to the conditions, follow the traffic rules and check the weather beforehand.
Bring a well-prepared bike, a helmet, enough drinks, suitable clothing and a small repair kit.
  • Take a short break at Krabes Alm and enjoy the peaceful alpine surroundings.
  • Take a short walk through the village of Truden i.N.
  1. From Bolzano train station, take the train to Neumarkt-Tramin railway station. There, change to bus line 144 and get off at the Truden im Naturpark, Church stop.
  2. From Bolzano train station, take bus line 120 to the Neumarkt bus station. There, change to bus line 144 and get off at the Truden im Naturpark, Church stop. 

    Please check in advance whether bicycles can be taken on the bus.

Directions
Truden im Naturpark can be easily reached via the A22 Brenner Motorway. Take the Neumarkt–Auer exit and follow the signs towards Montan a.d.W. and Truden i.N.
