Starting at the Pfandleralm mountain pasture parking lot, the much-used E5 trail (eastwards) leads to the Pfandleralm, then up a steep ascent to the Prantacher Mahder meadows at an elevation of about 2,000 m. Now leave the E5 trail on the left and head north before reaching the summit (1) with an abundance of panoramic views to enjoy.
The descent is the same as the ascent (in reverse).
