The walk begins after a journey to the top station of the San Vigilio
Cable Car at 1,486 meters. Following just under an hour of leisurely
ascent on Trail No. 34 you will reach Restaurant Jocher and the nearby
San Vigilio Church. Trail No. 9 leads on from here to Restaurant
Seespitz by Laghetto Nero (Black Pond). Follow Trail No. 7 for a
panoramic route back. This joins Trail No.34 towards the final section
of the path and leads you right by Ida Stube at vigilius mountain
resort, and back to the cable car station.

Getting to San Vigilio
BY BUS AND TRAIN
The Lana bus station lies in close proximity
to the valley station of the cable car. It is well
connected to public transport, with good connections
to the stations at Marlengo, Merano
and Lana/Postal.
BY CAR
Take the Merano-Bolzano (MEBO) expressway, exit at
Merano Sud and drive towards Lana. The entrance to the
valley station of the San Vigilio Cable Car is 100 m further,
on the right-hand side.
