Family hike through meadows and fields in the low mountain range to Ansitz Lusenegg.
From Lajen/Laion (village square) you follow the Vogelweider circular trail always slightly downhill for about half an hour until you reach Albions. Here you can visit the small hamlet. Continue on trail no. 5a through meadows, fields and woods until you reach Ansitz Lusenegg. The Ansitz is especially famous for its chestnut tree. The imposing chestnut tree in front of the Ansitz Lusennegg is between 600 and 800 years old. With a trunk circumference of around 12 meters, the tree is one of the largest sweet chestnut trees in Europe and is therefore protected as a natural monument.
After a short rest, you return to Albions via trail no. 5b and follow the Walther von der Vogelweide circular trail up to Lajen/Laion.
Coming from the north you will reach our region via Munich - Kufstein - Innsbruck - Brenner - Klausen (exit Chiusa / Val Gardena), the SS Val Gardena - at the roundabout in Novale/Ried-Lajen you turn to Lajen/Laion. From here you are within a few minutes in your resort Lajen.
