Compatsch - to the Refuge Molignon

Family-friendly hike along numerous huts to the Molignon Refuge. The path is passable with a pram. You have a wonderful view of the Rosszähne and the Langkofel and Plattkofel.
Itinerary
At the information office in Compatsch, take road n.7. It winds uphill through extensive meadows and pastures, past the Hotel Santner up to Panorama saddle. If you prefer, you can save yourself this effort and take the Panorama lift.
From there the path runs mostly flat, along the north eastern slopes of the Goldknopf past Edlweißhut and then to the Almrosenhut, which is a possibile refreshment place on the way. Gradually the path begins to climb slightly. Crossing an immense field of alpine rose fields, you reach the Molignon Refuge in a pleasant way.

Overview

The valley station of the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway can be easily reached via the following connections:

  • Bus line 1 from Seis am Schlern
  • Bus line 2 from Völs am Schlern
  • Bus line 3 from Kastelruth
  • Line 170 from Bolzano/Bozen or Bressanone/Brixen main station to the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway stop.
