This short winter hike leads from the mountain station to Gitschhütte. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the snow-covered mountain landscape. The hut offers a welcoming place to stop for refreshments.
The winter hike starts at the Gitschberg mountain station, which you can easily reach by cable car. From there, follow the groomed winter hiking trail directly to the Gitsch Hut. After around 30 minutes, you will reach the hut, which marks the destination of the hike, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding South Tyrolean mountains.
After the hike, you can take the Gimmy Funride toboggan run. It leads from the mountain station to the middle station over a distance of around 4.5 kilometres.
From Mühlbach to Meransen (7,5 km) to station at the valley of the railway cable car Gitschberg.
Parking is available at the cable car valley station in the Gitschberg ski area.
