With its breath-taking panoramic views in high mountain terrain, the walk from S. Pietro to Rasciesa runs through lush vegetation and across colorful meadows in bloom.

Itinerary

From St.Peter/Lajen parking lot follow trail no. 8 to the junction and take the trail no. 8a rising to northeast. Than catch the trail no. 36 upwaeds to Ramitzler Schwaige (1,815 m; refreshments served). Passing over grassy slopes and rocky steps uphill to the Heilig-Kreuz-Kapelle (built 1755). There is the possibility to follow the trail no. 10 to the Außerraschötz summit (2,281 m; with a 360° panorama-view). The return is on trail no. 35 or you follow the trail no. 31 to the Rasciesa funicular.

Coming from the north you will reach our region via Munich - Kufstein - Innsbruck - Brenner - Klausen (exit Chiusa / Val Gardena), the SS Val Gardena. At the junction turn to the left and follow the road to St.Peter/Lajen
