The trail starts above the "Tiefer Gatter" and leads to the natural jewel of the Schwarzer See. The special thing about it is that the start of the cross-country trail is just above 1,574 metres. Once you reach the top, you will experience a breathtaking winter landscape in the Tyrolean mountains. Stop for refreshments at the Riatschhof.
Tip: The best way to get to the start is on foot. (Footpath approx. 30 minutes from the Mutzkopf valley station).

From the valley station of the chairlift Mutzkopf, at the outskirts of Nauders there leads a winter-hiking trail from the valley station in direction to the Mutzkopf and the Gasthof Riatsch to the start of the Höhenloipe Schwarzer See slightly above the "Tiefer Gatter".
