The Maria Trens circular hiking trail connects the sanctuary with the nearby Sprechenstein castle. The trail goes along the forest hillside to the Sprechenstein rock, where you will find a nice panoramic view over the valley bottom. The return to the Maria Trens sanctuary goes along the old pilgrimage trail.
By the Maria Trens sanctuary on trail 24 in direction nordwest. Passing the farms and along the forest in direction to Sprechenstein castle. By the junction on mark 24B descend to the Sprechenstein castle, furtheron on the left along the serpentines to the valley bottom, passing the street by the Gasthof Burgfrieden and return on the pilgrimage trail to the starting point.

At the train station of Freienfeld or at the train station of Sterzing.
