Winter hike from Obereggen to Lake Carezza via the path "Templweg"

A peaceful winter hike from Obereggen through the snowy Latemar forest to Lake Carezza. On the Templweg, you can enjoy great views of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar.

This leisurely winter hike leads from Obereggen through the snowy Latemar forest to the picturesque Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza) via the so-called Templweg. The path begins in Obereggen and winds through a peaceful, snow-covered landscape. Along the way, you can enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding peaks of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar and experience nature in its serene winter slumber. Lake Carezza, famous for its breathtaking scenery, lies at the end of the route and invites you to linger.
Itinerary

The route starts in Obereggen at the upper car park on trail [9] toward the Bewallerhof hotel. Then follow the Templweg trail [8] to Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza). A possible detour on trail [S] to the Häusler Sam hut is possible. Continue to Lake Carezza on trail [8]. The return journey from Lake Carezza to Obereggen is via trail [8].

The route can also be completed in the opposite direction.

One alternative route leads from the village square in Ega on trail [10] and continues on trail [8B] up to trail [8]. From here simply follow the directions as described above.

- 184 from Weissenstein | Pietralba, Petersberg | Monte San Pietro, Deutschnofen | Nova Ponente (or 181 and change 184)   
- 182 + 184 from Steinegg | Collepietra, Gummer | San Valentino
