Itinerary

From the tourist information office in Monguelfo (1087m), walk through the center of Monguelfo until you reach in front of the fire brigade building, in the area of the intersection for Val Casies (1090m). Above the crossroads, follow the Dolomiten-Panoramaweg trail on the sunny side of Monguelfo, past farmsteads to the "Samwald" forest and on to Tesido. Past the "Kreuzbichl" and the swimming pool you return to Monguelfo. The route is also doable in the opposite direction, starting in Tesido.

How to get there

Directions

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo.
Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo.
