The valley Bärental lies between the villages St. Jakob/San Giacomo and Steinhaus/Cadipietra in the Ahrntal valley.
Take the cable car to the mountain station (elevation 1600 m). Follow the Forststrasse (No. 2) to Schwaiger Höhen. Uphill towards Bärental (No. 13A) to the Pfärraböden and downhill to Hochfeld Alm (elevation 1837 m) to Bärental. Downhill through the Bärental (No. 7) follow the orographical left side of the creek to the Wasserstube. Leaving the valley towards Hauptstrasse to St. Jakob/San Giacomo.
