The new via ferrata "PIZ DA PERES", built for the 2022 summer, consists of three interesting sections with a difficulty rating C/D (difficult). The via ferrata is located in a favorable geographical position and offers very good accessibility, with short access routes and breathtaking panoramic views. While climbing the via ferrata, you will have an exclusive vantage point to admire the mountain ranges of the Dolomites, the Zillertal and the Rieserferner Alps. You will be able to experience a spectacular mountain adventure, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Itinerary

The via ferrata is in the immediate vicinity of hiking trail no. 12 and offers two emergency exits. It can be easily reached from two different starting points: by private car from San Vigilio di Marebbe or from Valdaora via Geiselsberg up to the Furcia Pass, where you will be able to park your car. From San Vigilio there are also options to reach the Furcia Pass by public transport every hour.

Equipment

To access the Via Ferrata Piz da Peres, it is mandatory to be equipped with a harness with carabiners and a helmet. Gloves and adequate footwear are also recommended.

Public transport

The Passo Furcia can also be reached by scheduled bus from San Vigilio.

Directions

The Passo Furcia/Furkelpaß, the ideal starting point to reach the via ferrata, can be reached either from San Vigilio di Marebbe as well as from Valdaora.

Parking

Free parking is possible at Passo Furcia. You can reach the start via trails no. 3, 12B and 12. Of course, you can already park in San Vigilio to reach the start of the via ferrata via trails 19 and 12.
