Idyllic mountain villages with a unique charm is what the second stage of the circular hiking trail 360° Upper Vinschgau Valley has to offer.
The second stage of the circular hiking trail 360° Obervinschgau starts in St. Valentin auf der Haide at the fire station, passes the village "Dörfl" and continues on a moderate incline in the direction of Plawenn. Shortly before the village, a bunk invites you to take a rest. This village is known for the highest, still inhabited noble residence in the Alps at 1730 m above sea level, the Ansitz Plawenn.
The stage continues through woods and meadows into the Planeil valley. After the village of Alsack with its 30 inhabitants, the surrounding mountain peaks can be admired through various telescopes. Before reaching the village of Planeil, a hammock on the left side of the path invites you to relax. In the mountain farming village of Planeil, it is recommended to take a short walk.
