On the Merano High Mountain Trail to the Alpine hiking trail Waterfall

From the mountain station of the Texel cable car, take the Merano High Mountain Trail no. 24 in the direction of the Nasereit refuge (1,523 m). From there, take trail no. 8B to the Steinerhof mountain farm (1,442 m) and continue downhill to the "Alpinsteig Wasserfall" junction. Turn right and follow the Zielbach stream past turquoise-blue pools and a large rock "Knott". Possibility for a detour to the lookout point with picnic area and view of small waterfalls. Downhill over serpentines to the restaurant "Wasserfall" (from there you reach the lookout point / 5 minutes hiking), continue to the famous waterfall with 97 m drop height (1,060 m). Continue descending on trail no. 8B to the Birkenwald inn and via trail no. 1 along the Zielbach stream to the Winklerhof snack station to the valley station of the Texel cable car.
