The Elves' Trail invites both children and adults to playfully explore nature. The 3 km route along the forest edge near Obervintl offers interactive stations and charming views that transport visitors to a magical world – an ideal outing for families.
Start at the parking lot by the church in Obervintl and set off on the Elves’ Trail – a path full of exciting discoveries for all ages. Along eleven interactive stations, you’ll learn to read tracks, observe forest birds, and explore the life within a bee hotel. A highlight is the waterfall, an ideal spot for a rest. From the rock balcony, enjoy a beautiful view over Vintl before continuing under the treetops, where you can experience the magic of the forest with the "elves."
The return route leads past a dry stone wall, perfect for discovering local wildlife. At about three kilometers long, the Elves' Trail is easy to walk and especially suited for children.
In the ski and holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal you can get an Adventure Book at your accommodation or at the tourist offices. This special booklet features ten selected hikes, each with a stamp station along the way, where you can collect an imprint in your Adventure Book.
With three stamps, you can claim a bronze medal at the tourist offices in Mühlbach, Rodeneck, Terenten, Vals, or Meransen. Six stamps earn you a silver medal, and with all ten, you’ll be awarded the prestigious gold medal!
