Tires’ very own Tschafon is a wonderful place to explore on a winter’s snowshoe expedition with masses of views over the legendary Rosengarten.

Itinerary

The start of the tour is at the Weißlahnbad parking lot. The tour leads past the Wuhnleger lake and up the Tschafon. The first stage leads along trail no. 6. Turning off to your right, the path no. 4A takes you to the Tschfon mountain hut. The tour can also be extended to the cross on the Völseggspitze (approx. 25 min). The way back to Weißlahnbad is on the same path. Alternatively, the tour can be continued to the mountain inn Schönblick (another 60 min).

Details

The starting point of the tour or the sight is easily and comfortably accessible by public transport:

By bus line 176 from Völs am Schlern to St. Zyprian, Weisslahnbad or by bus line 185 from Bozen bus station to St. Zyprian.

Directions

The set-off point is Weißlahnbad. Bus 176 will bring you to St. Zyprian and from there you can hike to Weißlahnbad in half an hour. Alternatively, you can drive here. Parking facilities are available at the Visitor’s centre Tiers am Rosengarten in Weißlahnbad.
