From Seis to the Schererplatzl clearing and Kastelruth

This trail leads past the St. Valentin church, nestled in the middle of blossoming meadows above Seis, and boasts incredible views of the Schlern mountain. Hikers can walk all the way across the sunny Schererplatzl to Kastelruth.

Itinerary

The trail begins around 80 m after the post office in Seis am Schlern, where you cross the road and take the cobbled trail no. 7 towards Kastelruth. Turn off at the fork to get to the St. Valentin church. If you continue along trail no. 7 and cross the Seiser Alm road, you will come to a Plague Cross and the Schererplatzl clearing (at the small Madonna shrine, the trail merges with trail no. 6). Hike onwards and along the Marinzen road to get to Kastelruth, where you can return to Seis by bus (busses no. 3, 3A, 170 or 172).
This route is also well recommended when taken in the opposite direction, beginning in Kastelruth.

Refreshment stop at the starting and arrival point. Not pram-friendly.
