This snowshoe hike leads through a quiet, unspoilt winter landscape to the idyllic Sëurasas Alm. Set within gentle mountain scenery, surrounded by snow-covered forests and open areas, it allows you to experience the Dolomites in their most peaceful and natural form. The steady rhythm of walking on snowshoes, the crunch of snow underfoot and the clear mountain air create a deeply relaxing atmosphere.

As you approach the Sëurasas Alm, the views of the surrounding mountain landscape gradually open up. A special highlight of the tour is the short detour to the summit cross above the hut, which rewards hikers with spectacular views of the Dolomites and the surrounding valleys. This snowshoe hike is ideal for anyone wishing to discover the winter mountain landscape away from the pistes in a relaxed and authentic way.

Itinerary
Start from the Cristauta parking space and follow path no. 4 towards San Giacomo. Take a right at the fork and follow path no. 20. Once you reach Sëurasas, the path will continue to the summit cross boasting a spectacular view. Return on the same path to the starting point.

Overview
This route does not present any particular safety risks.
The trail may be icy, in which case the use of crampons instead of snowshoes is advisable.
For snowshoe hikes, you should always have good hiking boots, snowshoes, hiking poles, a warm winter jacket, hat or headband and gloves. A drink, snack and sun protection are also essential in your rucksack. Crampons are mandatory in icy conditions.
Sëurasas is Ladin for "above the rock", the name describes perfectly the beautiful view of the Sassolungo group, Sella group, Cir peaks and the Alpe di Siusi.

Directions
The hike starts at the Cristauta car park (located between the hamlets Runcaudië and Praplan), which lies at 1750 m above S. Cristina. From the centre, follow the signs to Plesdinaz via the Cisles street and the Plesdinaz street and turn off at the sharp right-handed bend in the hamlet of Puzé.
