Winter hike along the well-prepared hiking trails of the Resciesa area.
Follow path no. 35 from the mountain station of Resciesa funicular to the Resciesa Hut in approx. 45 min. After another 20 min. on an even and fl at trail, you will reach the Holy Cross Chapel. Now you can ascend to the summit cross which represents the highest point of this hike (2,281 m) and offers you a 360° scenic view over the Dolomites. Return to the mountain station.
Characteristics: partially fl at, partially ascending
Consider the opening hours of the funicular or plan enough time for the return.
Comfortable hiking shoes.
Spikes are recommended.
The last ascent to the summit is worthwhile. From there you can enjoy a nice 360° panoramic view.
Accessible by the bus line 350 from Bolzano or 360 from Bressanone to the S. Antonio square.
Accessible by the bus line 172 from Castelrotto to the S. Antonio square.
Accessible by the bus line 351 from Chiusa, Laion, S. Pietro to the S. Antonio square.
With the funicular from the Resciesa valley station to the mountain station.
Opportunity to park your car among the central park in Ortisei or at the valley station of the Seceda cable car.
