The Lottersteig path in Taisten

From the tourist information office in Taisten (1206 m) continuously following trail marker No. 21 initially pass through the houses climbing to the western edge of the village, then continue along the Unterrain road until reaching the Hotel Alpen Tesitin and from there turn right following the narrow road (trail marker No. 31) to the Guggenberg farm (1407 m). Continue on trail No. 21B through flat meadows and woods to the Mitterberg farm (Emmersberg, 1418 m), then through meadows and woods to the Riedlwiesen (there are a few barns there at about 1675m), after crossing the Taisten brook, follow trail No. 38 on a forest road and on farm access roads, down to the Oberhaushof (1503 m) and the Maraberg farmhouse (Jedsberg; 1431 m). You then continue through meadows and woods eastward toward the Haspa farmstead and ascend to the Ladstatthof farm (1484 m), after crossing the Rudlgraben on a forest road and the access road to the Hölzlhof farm (1433 m), continue on the farm access road (trail marker No. 55) in northern direction to the Schintlholz cottage (1470 m) and from there finally, following trail marker No. 55, partly on farm access roads and partly on paths through woods and meadows in a southeasterly direction, descend to the Henzing cottage (about 1200 m; at the Casies road bus stop); from there return to Taisten by bus.
