Varied tour with views of the Schlinigtal valley with picturesque mountain scenery.
The hike starts at the car park in Slingia/Schlinig, past the cross-country skiing center and onto trail no. 10 past the Kälberalm alpine pasture (not open to the public) and over the Kälberberg mountain. From there continue to Monterodes mountain (2,361 m), where the view to the Schlinigtal valley opens up. The way back to the starting point is along the same route.
Arriving at the peak, a fantastic panorama opens up.
The descent goes down the same route as the ascent. Under good snow conditions the climb is rewarded with a powdery descent to Valchava.
