Hike to the Bockerhütte

The starting point of this hike is the Hochmuth cable car valley station. Take the cable car up the mountain to the Hochmuth inn. Here take trail no. 22 past Steinegg inn as far as Mutkopf inn (1648 m). From the Mutkopf take trail no. 23 towards Mutspitze peak, then at the signpost at approx. 1800 m turn right and continue along Bockersteig trail (no. 22). At the next fork bear right again and continue on trail no. 22 to the Bockerhütte alpine hut (1700 m). After a well-deserved rest take trail no. 6 down the valley and over Kuegler Alp, keeping on the right hand side of the brook past Longfall inn to the Tiroler Kreuz inn. From here return to Dorf Tirol/Tirolo either on foot or by bus.
