Nice mountain hike with great views over the Puster Valley and the mountains of the Rieserferner-Ahrn nature park. Suitable only for trained hikers, sure-footedness is required.

Itinerary

Starting point is the car park 1 in Oberwielenbach/Vila di Sopra. From there follow the path no. 1 and at the signpost "Gönneralm" turn right. Continue on the path no. 6 up to the hut (1,975 m, from the starting point 1.30 hours). Follow trail no. 6 which first goes up through the forest, then over grassy slopes partly slightly uphill, partly just on the ridge north, and finally on the south ridge (always marked trail) easily up to the summit (2,484 m, from Gönneralm hut about 2 hours).
