The hike, perfect for keen mountaineers, requires safety, climbing skills and a good orientation skills.
Next, it crosses vast areas of alpine pines before reaching the Gran Plan, or Plan de Ciaulunch, a large green plateau. A short climb from the plateau's edge leads to the Tadega Pass. From here, keep left and follow the easily recognizable trail into the valley, which is at altitude, then climb upwards. After crossing a steep crag, you can walk alongside the Lech de Conturines. Passing over rocky steps, you finally reach the ridge with an enchanting view of San Cassiano.
After the pass, zigzag across a steep gravel-covered slope and then go right over a manageable ledge. To climb to the top of the Conturines, follow a well-marked track from the pass at the ridge above Büsc da Stlü that leads off to the left. Once you have passed a scree-covered incline, you can climb up the rocky slopes.
Steel cables will help you reach the manageable edge of the summit (climbing equipment is recommended).
Follow the SS244 Val Badia road towards La Villa and continue on road SS37 to San Cassiano.
