Ski Tour: Monte Luta e Monte Salmone in Tesido

From the Tourist Office in Tesido (1203 m) drive left past the Gothic piety column and the parish church towards the Hotel Alpen Tesitin. Shortly after, turn right to Guggenberg and follow the forest road to the next junction, where you turn left. After a sharp right-hand bend and about 300 m you reach the large parking lot. From there, at 1590 m, path no. 31 branches off westwards. After the first bend take the steep path on the left leading to the higher forest road. Cross it and continue uphill, following the red-white markings no. 31. At over 2000 m you cross the so-called “Kampfzone”. In the distance, you can already see the summit cross of the Lutterkopf (2145 m). The hike continues northwards over open alpine meadows along the ridge. After a longer walk, you reach a fence opening that leads directly down to the Taistner Vorderalm. Continue instead to tackle the final ascent to the Durakopf (2275 m). From the summit descend eastwards to the Klenkboden (2186 m), then southwards across wide alpine meadows to the Taistner Vorderalm (2012 m, refreshments available). From here return to the starting point at the Mudler Hof (refreshments available) in about 1 ½ hours, either on foot or by toboggan.
