The Great Rasass Tour is the ideal hike for all those who prefer slightly more intensive tours. Starting from Slingia, the route takes you high up to Piz Rasass. The breathtaking views make it all the more worthwhile.
Itinerary
The starting point of this hike is the peaceful mountain village of Slingia (1738m). After following trail no. 8A for a short distance, hiking trail no. 1A takes you uphill. Through the green coniferous forest of Slingia you finally reach the high trail no. 8A. Here you can enjoy the beautiful panorama before turning off in the direction of "Auf dem Mäuerle" (2338m). Once on the Mäuerle wall, the more intensive part of this tour follows - a challenging path leads up to the "Vernungskopf" (2872m) and from there onwards until you finally reach the Piz Rasass (2941m). You then descend again via hiking trail no. 7. Passing the Sesvenna refuge (2256m), continue downhill on trail no. 1 to the Schliniger Alm alpine pasture (1868m) and follow the path back to the starting point in Slingia.
Bus line 277 takes us directly to the village of Slingia. You come through the village of Burgusio to the Slingia road, past the Marienberg monastery and the hamlet of Prämajur, Slingia is at the end of the road.
