This panoramic loop hike on the Jochgrimm is perfect for active families looking to enjoy nature, fresh mountain air and traditional alpine hospitality. The route winds through open meadows, light forests and scenic ridgelines between the Weißhorn and Schwarzhorn, offering stunning views of the Dolomites. Along the way, children can spot grazing animals, explore nature, and enjoy the freedom of the outdoors. Cozy mountain huts like the Isi Hütte and Gurndin Alm invite you to rest and enjoy local dishes. A gentle yet rewarding alpine adventure for the whole family.
Itinerary
The loop starts at the Hotel Schwarzhorn on the Jochgrimm pass (2,000 m). Follow trail [7] to reach the Isi Hütte, a great spot for an early break. Continue on trail [12A] to the Gurndin Alm, beautifully located with panoramic views and delicious alpine food. The return follows trail [2], bringing you back to the starting point.
