This snowshoe hike leads through the impressive mountain landscape on the edge of the Puez–Odle Nature Park, an area of outstanding natural and scenic value that has been part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage since 2009. 
The snowshoe route crosses expansive, deeply snow-covered meadows and gentle slopes, repeatedly revealing impressive views of the distinctive Dolomite peaks rising above the winter landscape. Along the way, numerous panoramic viewpoints invite you to pause and take in the surrounding scenery, allowing hikers to experience the grandeur of the mountains and to gain a deeper understanding of the close connection between landscape, geology and the natural environment of the Dolomites.
This snowshoe hike is ideal for anyone wishing to enjoy winter in an active yet relaxed way, immersing themselves in unspoilt nature while being captivated by the majestic beauty and unique atmosphere of the Dolomites.

The trail starts at the Col Raiser mountain station and then gradually becomes steeper as it coasts by the Mastlé mountain pasture and idyllic mountain huts until it reaches the Troier hut.

Overview
This route does not present any particular safety risks.
The trail may be icy, in which case the use of crampons instead of snowshoes is advisable.
For snowshoe hikes, you should always have good hiking boots, snowshoes, hiking poles, a warm winter jacket, hat or headband and gloves. A drink, snack and sun protection are also essential in your rucksack. Crampons are mandatory in icy conditions.
The Nature Park Puez-Odle was founded in 1978 and covers an area of 10,722 hectares. The nature parks of the Dolomites were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2009.
The valley station of the Col Raiser cable car can be reached by the free shuttle bus (8:30 - 12:00 a.m., every 15 minutes) from the Dosses Square. The valley station of the Col Raiser cable car is also served by the bus line 358.

Directions
The starting point is the valley station of the cable car Col Raiser, which is located in the municipality of Selva Gardena, but is not far from the centre of S. Cristina. It can be reached by internal shuttle buses or by car (chargeable parking on site).
