From the Passo Gardena starts the via ferrata Pisciadu to the Sella group.

The imposing mountain scenery of the Sella Group, the waterfall, the vertical climbing passages at Exner Tower, a suspension bridge and a mountain lake make the Pisciadù via ferrata
one of the most popular and busiest in the Dolomites. 

 

Itinerary

You can extend the tour to the Sella high plateau – a beautiful hike – provided you are in good physical condition.
Access: from the car park below Passo Gardena towards Colfosco (also bus stop) , below Val
Setus to reach the access point in a few minutes.
Descent: descend into Val Setus (path no. 666); the path is quite demanding due to the scree
and some passages secured with ropes and cables. Return to the starting point.

Attention: trail no. 666 (Val Setus) closed - Alternatively, return to the Gardena Pass via the Mittagstal/Val Mesdi valley (trail no. 651).

From the Passo Gardena starts the via ferrata Pisciadu to the Sella group.
All via ferratas come with their own day tour and are well secured: however, they are meant only for experienced climbers.
Make sure you do not suffer from vertigo and can deal with heights, are sure-footed and physically fit, and don’t forget that once you have reached the summit, you will need to climb back down!
We recommend newcomers hire a mountain guide to accompany them.
Climb the via ferratas at your own risk and peril!
To tackle a via ferrata with children, it is advisable to obtain further information and to be
accompanied by a mountain guide.
The via ferratas are not suitable for dogs.
Only climb the via ferratas if the weather is good and use the following equipment: helmet, via ferrata set of the latest generation, possibly protective gloves, proper shoes, weather protection and provisions.
At the beginning of the season, make sure the Val Setus is passable.

With the bus 471 from Selva Val Gardena to the Passo Sella.
