This hike to the Petersberger Leger Alm is the perfect way to enjoy a relaxing family day in South Tyrol’s stunning mountain scenery. From the very beginning, the peaceful setting and wide-open views create a sense of escape. The trail leads through open woods and alpine meadows, with birdsong and fresh mountain air all around. At the rustic Petersberger Leger Alm, hikers are welcomed with traditional South Tyrolean dishes, homemade treats, and a sunny terrace. Children can run and play in the meadow while parents soak in the view and serenity. Ideal for families, nature lovers, and anyone in search of a gentle mountain adventure.
Itinerary
The hike starts at the Maria Weissenstein parking lot (1,520 m). From there, follow the well-marked Forest Trail No. 2 to the Petersberger Leger Alm. The path is easy and family-friendly. Return along the same route back to the parking lot.
