From the Head of the Valley in the Gsiesertal Valley – St. Magdalena (1465 m) follow trail marker no. 49 into the valley, passing the cross-country ski trail and a woodturner’s workshop, and continue straight through the spruce forest. The path leads to the Pidigalm (1674 m). From there continue straight ahead on the right side of the valley, passing several barns (some with avalanche protection), parallel to the stream, to the Oberbergalm (1975 m). From here the trail becomes steeper up to the Gsieser Törl (2205 m). On the way back it is worth stopping at the Kradorfer Alm (1704 m) or the Messnerhütte (1660 m).
