The hike to Kumpflalm hut is a varied tour above Antholz Mittertal. The idyllic alpine hut offers beautiful views over the Antholz Valley and is a popular destination for families and leisure hikers.
Depending on the chosen route, the ascent follows either a comfortable forest road or a more direct forest trail. Both options lead through peaceful natural surroundings up to the alpine hut.
Kumpflalm hut is also an ideal starting point for further hikes and panoramic trails in the upper Antholz Valley.
Option 1 – Via the Egger farms: The starting point is the sports area in Antholz Mittertal. From there, hike towards the Egger farms and then turn left onto the forest road.
Follow trail no. 12 at first and later trail no. 6A, which steadily climbs up to Kumpflalm hut.
Option 2 – Directly from the village centre: The starting point is the village centre of Antholz Mittertal. The trail first passes the police station and continues along trail no. 3A.
Passing the Amus Chalets, the route climbs up to Außerkumpflhof farm and then continues uphill along the trail to Kumpflalm hut.

The return follows the ascent route or can be completed as an individual circular hike.
From the Pustertal road, turn into the Antholz Valley and drive to Antholz Mittertal.
