Villanderer Alm/Alpe di Villandro, Villanders/Villandro, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
from
center
An insider tip for cross-country skiers is the Villanderer Alm at about 2000 m above sea level far above the village of Villanders in the Eisacktal valley. The trail is technically not so demanding, but very varied with small loops, as well as curves and two moderate descents. Ideal for beginners and advanced. The trail lies almost exclusively in the sun and is nevertheless laid out in such a way that the snow conditions do not suffer. The trail is continuously groomed and maintained.
Itinerary
The cross-country ski trail from Gasser Hütte around the Villanderer Alm is about 6.5 km long and moderately difficult. A slightly shorter and easier course of about 4 km is signposted on site.
From Klausen take the LS87 to Villanders village. At the DESPAR turn right, following the road signs Villanderer Alm. After about 20 minutes driving time you reach the parking lot "Saltnerstein"(Gasser hut).
